Here's a Shift of the Ages synopsis:
Change, change, change; this is what the people of Earth are currently asking for. Add the words “green” & “hope” to the mix, and you have the buzzwords of the moment. Many indigenous cultures believe that we are in the process of shifting to a new “Sun” or new “World”. This prophesied period of adjustment has survived thousands of years in the countless stories, scriptures, and glyphs of many diverse traditions. These predictions were left by our ancestors, and describe a time of awakening and great understanding. This phenomenon of change has come to be known as the Shift of the Ages.
Throughout the Americas, legend promises the eventual reunion of two great birds: the Condor and the Eagle. This prophecy is a multi-layered merger; symbolic of the balance we are yearning for in existence. The prophecy states: Those of the Center will unite the Eagle of the North with the Condor of the South. They will fly wing-tip to wing-tip in the same sky, because they are brothers and sisters, and are one, like the fingers of the hand.
Grand Elder Alejandro Cirilo Perez Oxlaj, “Wandering Wolf”, of the Maya Nation chooses to live the last of his days towards the fulfillment of the Eagle and Condor Prophecy. For this he embarks on a mission to retrieve an ancient and very sacred Mayan Staff, which he claims to be unrightfully held by a Spiritual Elder of a large South American Nation. The Sacred Mayan Staff has passed through thousands of years of Don Alejandro's ancestry, and he feels that reclaiming it for his people is an integral part of the prophecy’s fulfillment. Along this epic journey, Don Alejandro encounters Spiritual Elders of diverse nations, trades information and wisdom, and partakes in powerful ceremonies for the healing of our planet. The goal of this nearly eighty-year-old Mayan Elder is the graceful transition to our new sun.
This film project is a step out of time; a look through the indigenous lens to focus on what is transpiring in the world today. It is a Shamanic Rite of Passage and grassroots effort to raise awareness for Mother Earth in her time of need. The Shift of the Ages is more than a movie … it’s a movement. Support the Shift!

FLAG PETITION:
Pasted below is a link to a crazy petition we started; it calls for an adjustment to be made to the American Flag - It seeks the addition of two yellow stripes symbolizing a series of mutually beneficial national and global US initiatives and commitments.
Personally, I believe flags are silly, and eventually borders won't be necessary - but for now a crazy petition like this could spark some much needed dialog. Check it out
